Shutterfly Wants to Sign Me Out While Uploading Photos

Hi Jim,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I empathize that you lot are getting an mistake while trying to upload photos. Let me help you resolve the issue.

I would propose you to test the issue by manually copying a unmarried photo and save it. Bank check if it works.

I would too suggest you to check if you take permissions to the binder to which you are importing the photos.

I would suggest you to follow these steps and give permissions to the folder:

  1. Press Windows cardinal + X on the keyboard.
  2. Click on Command Prompt (Admin).
  3. At the control prompt, type " takeown /f <foldername> /r /d y " without quotes and and then press ENTER . (Replace <foldername> with the path of the binder).
  4. So, type " icacls <foldername> /grant administrators:F /T " without quotes and striking enter. (Replace <foldername> with the path of the binder).

Using the above mentioned commands, we took the ownership of the folder and and then assigned the Administrators group Total Control Permissions for the folder.

I hope the information helps. Please respond with the updated condition and details. We volition be happy to assist y'all accordingly.

Cheers.

Okay. So I tried the Admin Command Prompt and entered the fields every bit you said, and afterward a couple tries it said "Admission Denied." for both command inputs.

I should too tell you that when I prepare the computer when I showtime got Win10 I may have unchecked a box that may have said something like "Allow Microsoft to verify my Identity?" And so possibly Microsoft wasn't able to verify my identity?

So a couple days ago I went to verify my identity with Microsoft, (equally indicated as necessity from command pane/action center) and the email box that the code was going to is no longer a valid email, then I clicked an selection to verify information technology a different fashion. Then I had the email/code sent to my valid email.

And so the dialog box said that it would exist 1 calendar month before my identity could be verified. Therefor I wonder if I have to wait 1 month to be granted "Administrator rights"?

And I also did as you suggested to try to save a film from Internet to my Libraries Folder and information technology said "You lot exercise not have permission, contact the administrator."

And it seems to merely happen with photos and then far, equally I was able to salve a Give-and-take Document no problem.

***And likewise some other problem I am having is the toolbar on the lesser correct of my screen does not allow me to open activity center, and doesn't allow me to adjust speaker volume. The icon says "New Notifications" and I click on it and nothing happens. On my dads win10 computer when he clicks that icon a window opens upwards from the right. And when I click on the speaker icon naught happens.

Only hoping it solves all the issues.

Alright. And then office of the problem is fixed. I can import pics from camera at present. I tin can save pictures from Internet to the "Pictures" binder, merely I cannot salve pictures to sub-folders that I created in "Pictures" folder. Information technology says I don't have permission. For instance I cannot relieve a picture to a subfolder such as "Scenery" or "Family unit" or whatsoever other one I created, but I can save it to "pictures" binder.

After I download that picture of Scotland, and salve it to the Pictures folder,  I can and so elevate it into the correct sub-folder labeled "Scenery", and I ever get a prompt that says "Access Denied, you must have Administrator Permission." I can, however, click "Go on" and information technology WILL put the scenic pic into the correct sub-folder, merely later I click continue.

I tried to take buying of the pictures folder using the command prompt and it said "Admission Denied."

Okay. I believe the problem is at present fixed.

I correct clicked on "pictures" and clicked "Backdrop" then Security to set permissions. What I found is that in that location were six dissimilar accounts all with various degrees of permission. About with partial permissions. One was "account unknown", some other only a bunch of random digits, and all the same some other that I did not recognize.

Then, of the 6 accounts with permission, I kept 3 and removed the rest. I kept "SYSTEM, Ambassador, and another with my name on it. And so, past removing those other accounts, I solved the problem.

Now, I am wondering where did these other accounts come up from?

Any means problem is solved now.

***annotation. I imagine I could've really messed things up if I deleted the other accounts with permissions. Whew, that was shut.

Problem seems solved at present. I last thing I had to do correct-click each subfolder inside the "Pictures" Binder, that contains pictures, click, "properties", then "Security" and then edit permissions and permit total control for :

Homeusers (myname)-PC\homeUsers. When I did this to each sub-folder I can now move/save pictures without the "Access Denied, need permissions" dialog prompt. Information technology works all the time.

The solution I remember that worked for the trouble uploading pictures from camera was to click "Libraries", correct-click "Pictures" folder, click "properties" and "restore defaults".

And also, the "notification" icon on toolbar at bottom right corner now works as well, which may have been fixed in a recent update. Idk

Seems fine at present.

I have tried all methods here to solve this issue with no success - I was able to successfully import thou+ photos - simply before the last 150 or so were imported, I received the error.

When I endeavor to start the import again, it shows in that location are 150 left, merely it still reports same error.  Information technology writes about 2 pictures and ane video and so the error happens.  Perhaps there is an issue on the phone?

Where is the log which shows what the issue actually is?  At that place'due south no permission issue as I tried to create a folder c:\temppics folder and notwithstanding go the mistake.

I can't discover anything in the event viewer.

Please propose,

Eric
